Ingredients

Pizza Dough

  • 1 1/4 cup warm water

  • 2tsp active dry yeast

  • 2tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp sea salt

  • 3 1/2 cups 00 flour

  • 1/4 cup water

  • 2 tsp dried oregano

  • 1 tsp dried basil

The Recipe!

Step 1: Activating the yeast

Sprinkle the yeast into the 1 1/4 cup warm water.

Let sit for 5-10 minutes, or until bubbles form.

Step 2: Making the dough

Place the salt, olive oil, flour, water, and herbs into a stand mixer bowl fitted with the paddle attachment.

Mix on low speed. Once the yeast is activated, pour it into the dough. Mix on medium speed until the dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl.

Turn out the dough onto a floured work surface. Knead for a few minutes to be sure the gluten has developed.

Roll into a ball and place it back into the bowl.

Cover with a towel and let proof for 1 hour at room temperature, or until doubled in size.

Step 3: Pizza time

Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.

Turn out the dough onto a floured work surface.

Cut into 4 equal size pieces.

Roll out the dough into pizzas. You can make them as big or small as you want.

Place the dough on a baking stone or a baking sheet lined with parchment paper before adding sauce and toppings.

Top pizzas with sauce and toppings you want. Be sure not to go off of the edges of the dough.

Bake at 425 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes.

Let the pizza cool for a few minutes before enjoying!
